Privacy policy

Last updated November 6, 2026. This policy covers californiacontractorlookup.com, operated by MMR Internet, LLC ("we").

What we collect from visitors

You don't need an account to use this site, and we don't ask for your name or contact details. When you visit, our host keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested and time), which we use to keep the site running and secure. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, which sets cookies and collects information about your visit, such as pages viewed and approximate location. Searches you type are processed to show results and may appear in server logs and analytics.

If you email us, we keep your message and address to reply.

Advertising

We may show ads from Google and other partners, who may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can manage ad personalization at Google's Ads Settings. Where required, we'll ask for your consent before these cookies are used.

California residents

We don't sell or share visitors' personal information for money. Advertising cookies, if shown, may count as "sharing" for cross-context advertising under California law; you can opt out through your browser's Global Privacy Control signal or Google's Ads Settings. You can ask what personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing admin@californiacontractorlookup.com.

Public records about contractors

License information on this site comes from public records published by the State of California. We show business names, the names of people listed on a license, city, county and ZIP code, but not street addresses or phone numbers. See About the data for how corrections work.

Sharing

We share data only with service providers who help run the site (hosting and analytics), or when the law requires it.

Children

This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
